The Manfrotto 055XV, 700RC2 View Birdwatching Kit is the aluminium equivalent of the Manfrotto 055MFV, 701RC2 View Carbon Fiber Kit and provides the same outstanding performance at a slightly higher overall weight. The kit is comprised of the Manfrotto 700RC2 fluid head and the Manfrotto 055XV aluminum tripod.For extreme outdoor use, the MN055XV is 3 section aluminium tripod with non-glare finishing and the aluminium components are painted with dark green color. Built on the same ergonomically improved design as the 055XPROB, but without the horizontal centre column feature, the 055XV is lighter in weight and slightly more compact. The ergonomics of the leg angle release mechanism and the quick action leg locks themselves have also been greatly improved. With the leg angle presets, it allows the camera to reach all intermediate heights from min-max extension.The 700RC2 is a compact and lightweight 2-movement video head designed principally to support the latest digital video equipment but also ideal for spoting scoped and suited to still photography cameras with medium and long tele lenses. The 700RC2 has a fixed length pan bar with soft handle and separate locking mechanisms for the 360° pan and the +90°/-75° tilt. Smooth and constant movements on both axes are assured by a fixed system of fluid cartridges. Equipped with quick release 200PL-14 video plate system with VHS PIN and a secondary safety catch.
