For extreme outdoor use, this 3 section aluminium version has non-glare finishing and the aluminium components are painted with dark green color. Built on the same ergonomically improved design as the 055XPROB, but without the horizontal centre column feature, the 055XV is lighter in weight and slightly more compact. The ergonomics of the leg angle release mechanism and the quick action leg locks themselves have also been greatly improved. With the leg angle presets, it allows the camera to reach all intermediate heights from min-max extension.Legs lock independently at four different angles. Quick-action lever locks used for height adjustments. Leg warmers on two legs keep hands protected in cold weather, and cushions the shoulders while carrying the tripod.
