The Opticron Birdwatchers' Tripod and Monopod Kit is a full size aluminium tripod designed for use with fieldscopes to 80mm OG, photo and video equipment. Model comes complete with an Opticron 42700Q panhead, and a 4-section removable monopod which doubles as the centre column. The tripod is very tall at 178cm fully extended, so for people with straight scopes there is no need to use the central column to look through their scope, thus making the tripod more stable to look through, especially in windy conditions. The Monopod can be used by simply by taking out the central column and can be used with or without the head.

Features include:

• Specially extended 3 section tubular legs giving a usable height without raising centre column of 1490mm (58 3/4”) for maximum panning stability at high magnifications
• 42700Q 3-way one lever operated panhead with 360º panning and +90º to -60º tilt plus 90º side tilt for use with telescopes not fitted with rotating tripod sleeves
• Integral quick release plate (1/4” thread)
• 4-section monopod acting as 290mm centre column when fitted. Slides up and out of tripod canopy
• Clip-type leg locks and rubber feet
