The Manfrotto 468MGRC4 incorporates the same "world first" hydraulic ball-locking system as the 468MG, and uses Manfrotto's RC4 Rapid Connect plate system.Using hydraulics instead of a mechanical system to block the head's center ball produces a super tight-lock from a minimal turn of the locking know, without sacricficing the smoothness of the balls movement when unblocked. To keep weight low the head is made of magnesium and to provide smooth movements the 2" aluminum ball is Teflon coated. For additional control, a calibrated adjustable tension knob allows you to preset the ball friction to suit your camera weight so that you can remove your hands from the camera without risking the camera falling. The oversized ball locking know allows for easy control even when using gloves.The quick release plate has a secondary safety catch and two spirit levels for precise levelling on both vertical and horizontal axis.
